The Museum occupies 4 city blocks, from west 77th to west 81st street, from Central Park West to Columbus Avenue, and were formerly called Manhattan Square. The oldest visible part of the façade facing west 77th street is also the most attractive. The faced facing Central Park West is instead more recent approx 1922.
The collection includes galleries like: Fossil Hall,Hall of Biodiversity (including walk through Rainforest), the Animal Habitat dioramas (world-famous for their beauty), Hall of Human Origins, Hall of Mineral. One of the most important area of the museum is dedicated to Dinosaurs, here you will be able to see original fossils and entire skeletons!
