FAO Schwarz is Back for the Holiday Season & It's Here to Stay!
10/11/2018
Do you remember the famous 5th Ave Toy Store pictured in movies such as Home Alone 2 (1992) and the famous Tom Hanks' "Big" (1988) that shined a light on the giant dance-on-piano?
The Big Chain is finally coming back to NYC after shutting down their Flagship Store back on July 2015.
The new store will also bring back its tradition as an experience-based Store Destination with new magic shows and tricks, a grocery shopping experience re-invented just for kids, and a build-your-own RC race car station.
They will be back in Rockefeller Plaza starting November 16 which makes it such a dream location, especially for the Holiday Season. Can you imagine 1 single location featuring the famous Christmas Tree, The Ice-Skating Rink, The Cinderella Castle Music & Light Show of Sacks 5th Ave and The iconic Christmas Window Displays of 5th Ave?
The store will see a 'downgrade' in real-estate from the over 60,000 sq. ft. of the original 5th Ave location to the new one capping at 20,000 sq. ft. ... Still, we can rest assured it will be such a great destination for kids, adults, visitors, and New Yorkers alike.
The company has been interviewing possible employees for the past couple of months to make sure they find the perfect toy-soldiers to welcome us in the FAO Realm, as well as product demonstrators, magicians, and performers to dance on the giant floor-piano, as reported by the WSJ.
Are you excited? We sure are and we will feature the opening on our Instagram and Facebook Accounts so make sure to follow us on our Social Media Accounts!
