Even More Snow (Yet Again!) in NYC
Even More Snow in NYC
This year, snow seems to never end in New York City!! Also for this second week of February, multiple snow-storms are expected ... and the weather-forecast here is usually accurate.
So, We'll still have the opportunity to photograph and tape a white Big Apple under a blanket of snow, meanwhile, if you want to walk with Irene around Manhattan, on our YouTube channel you will find her videos, they take you to
Central Park, Wall Street & FiDi, Times Square with the Theater District and Broadway. >>>
Valentine's Day 2021 in New York
How are we going to celebrate Valentine's Day this year? From today, New Yorkers can return to have lunch and dinner inside, even if with limited capacity at 25% and only until 10 pm. New Yorkers can also stop by the new Art Installation "Lover Letters" in Times Square to drop off their love letters, and of course buy plenty of chocolates, flowers, and romantic cards.
Let's see what Irene filmed around NYC to show us the pop-up exhibits and other
art installations for this Valentine's Day >>>
Upcoming reopening in New York
By the end of February, stadiums, and arenas that have a regular capacity of 10,000 or more seats, can reopen albeit with a reduced capacity of 10%.
However, concerts and shows are not yet ready to return ... with 10% capacity, it would only mean losses for music halls and theaters anyway.
From March 15th, it will also be possible to return to celebrate weddings with 150 guests ... Take advantage of it to make your proposal this Valentine's Day! ;-)
February 2021 Events
February is Black History Month. It was chosen this month because, after the US Civil War, African American communities joined the celebrations of Abraham Lincoln's birthday on February 12th and Frederick Douglass's birthday on February 14th.
We celebrate the Lunar New Year - today February 12th is celebrated as the Chinese New Year, the year of the Ox, unfortunately, there are no events, no parades, and even the classic fireworks, but
virtually it will be possible to follow some celebrations >>>>
And just to remind you again --
February 14th IS Valentine's Day!
February 15th, Presidents Day, will make this a long weekend thanks to the third Monday in February that celebrates Presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln birthdays.
February 16th is Mardis Gras ... for those who have not realized it yet -- it's already Carnival!!
