Garment District and The Prismatica Installation
Last few days for those who want to be surrounded by rainbows. It is still possible at the
Garment District until January 30th, where you can walk among
25 revolving 6-foot tall Prisms. The street is filled with colors, reflections, and ever-changing lights.
You can find this
Art Installation on Broadway between 39th and 40th Streets. The panels are covered with a film that
reflects the colors of the rainbow. Very suggestive in the evening and vibrant during the day as it lights up the street and
emits music that varies in intensity when the prisms rotate.
Created by
RAW Design, one of Toronto's most eclectic architectural firms, the project is part of a Public Art program sponsored by the Garment District in collaboration with the DOT - Department of Transportation, and the Québec Government Office in New York.
Irene took the opportunity yesterday to visit the Installation during her
1-Mile Walk around NYC -- Walk with her in a light icy rain that turned into big
white snowflakes, starting from Penn Station and Herald Square (34th street) then to Broadway, Times Square, and 42nd Street.
Chelsea Flea Market every Saturday & Sunday
It is
a fixed appointment for those who love to
wander around flea markets. You can find it on

The Chelsea Flea Market is the most loved flea market by New Yorkers, hosting hundreds of vendors and local designers displaying their
arts & crafts. Here, you will find everything from furniture to collectibles & antiques, from casual to
vintage clothing and custom jewelry, to finish off with many
delicious fresh food stands.
