Let's see what's the latest from New York City ... Seems like we live in a reality where lots of things keep changing very quickly, hard to keep up at times, but these bits seem to be "Happy News" that we can finally share. Let's go ahead and see what the city is offering us for the rest of the Summer and early Autumn!
It is not a mystery or a secret that New York City was one of the cities hardest hit by Covid-19 in 2020 ... Not only in contagions and numbers but economically too, losing much of the yearly revenues from the tourism & entertainment industry. To celebrate the various re-opening, the long-awaited return to "normal capacity", over 70% of the population vaccinated, and hopefully to traveling again 100% soon, the city along with NYC & Co. Tourism Organization and the most important venues has declared the week between August 14th and 21st 2021 - Homecoming Week in New York. A week where many events, concerts, art, music, cinema, theater, etc. are organized, some for free and others for a fee, to bring New Yorkers out "to live again" their own beloved city. Events that will culminate with the long-awaited mega concert on August 21st in Central Park.

The long-awaited reopening of the US borders for European citizens is still a "work in progress." The latest news (via Reuters) seems to indicate that our administration – the White House, the CDC, and the appropriate bodies are evaluating the possible reopening of our borders that will require proof of Vaccination for all tourists (regardless of the country of origin) visiting the US. Possible dates for such implementation have not yet been released. We will update you as soon as possible.
NYC will be one of the first major cities in the US to implement the mandatory vaccine to get access to many businesses including Restaurants, Gyms, Theaters, etc. A rule that will be applied from August 16th (at least one vaccine dose required) and then mandatory from September 13th (both vaccine doses required) for everyone, citizens and visitors. This new rule will in fact also involve Broadway musicals. To get access to the theater, all guests will have to show proof of vaccination and also wear a mask. If you want to make sure you have all the latest guidelines and make sure that the documents you have are accepted as proof, we will be happy to help you with your Musical Booking and Reservation.
At the moment, unlike Los Angeles and San Francisco, New York City has not yet reinstated the "Mask Mandate", thus leaving the free choice to venues and citizens, but unlike a few months ago, the NYC administration has now updated its Guideline saying it is "strongly recommended to wear masks inside even for vaccinated citizens as long as the variant remains high."
