Washington & Philadelphia 2-Day Excursion from New York

1st Day: New York – Philadelphia – Lancaster Country - Washington DC

Onboard of Air conditioned Bus or Van and with the help of a professional tour guide that will be with you throughout the tour, you will leave New York in the early morning and head south passing the states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania to reach Philadelphia. Upon arrival,  you will embark on a panoramic tour that includes: Benjamin Franklin Parkway and Elfert Alley, the oldest inhabited street in America, and much more.

You will arrive at the famous and historic Constitution Square where you will visit some of the oldest monuments in America including Constitution Hall and the famous Liberty Bell. Leaving Philadelphia you will pass by the famous “Rocky Steps”, the 72 stone steps before the entrance of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. You will leave Philadelphia and proceed towards Lancaster County home of the Amish people.

You will start with a ride on an authentic Amish Buggy (the traditional Amish carriage) through the Amish farm country, and learn how this community still leaves without the use of modern technology such as electricity, running water, telephone service or general appliances. After the ride, you will visit the characteristic Amish marketplace where you can find extraordinary handmade arts crafts and typical products. In the late afternoon, we start to get to Washington DC.

Overnight: Fairfield Inn and Suites Alexandria.

2nd Day: Washington DC – New York

In the morning you will start with a visit to the Memorial dedicated to Thomas Jefferson, the area is known as the Tidal Basin, if you have the good fortune to do this tour during the spring you will be enchanted by cherry trees that surrounds it. Next we will visit the famous Arlington National Cemetery to assist at the changing of the guards and visit the Kennedy family gravesite.
The tour will continue to see Capitol Hill, the White House, the Mall, where all major museums are located, and where you will stop for a visit to the Air and Space Museum, you will then proceed towards the national monuments park and you will visit some of the most important memorials including the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Memorial, Martin Luther King and Korean War Memorial, and Vietnam Memorial. Late afternoon departure to New York for an early evening arrival.
