How to choose between walking tours in New York
How to
choose the right Walking Tour? It is not always easy to find the right tour especially in New York City. So many things to do, so
many things to see and, more often than not,
not enough time to do everything! Here,
our Tour Guide Irene will give you some
tips and ideas on how to choose the right tour, based on the
areas and activities that interest you the most. Irene is not only a professional and licensed guide, prepared and attentive (her license-exam score -- 127/150, has earned her the Star!) but also
your friend in New York.
A word from our guide Irene
Four Tips that I give to all my customers,
- Tou Lenght - from experience, I think 4/6 hours are the ideal duration for an overview tour without getting too tired.
- The Itinerary - being New York a large and chaotic metropolis to avoid wasting time up and down during a gazillion trips, I recommend choosing an itinerary that takes you discovering a few adjacent neighborhoods. This allows you to visit much more without wasting precious time.
- Attire / What to Wear - in New York you will not miss your "steps" to count on your iPhone/Android ... therefore I recommend comfortable shoes! Also, keep in mind we have many changes in temperatures both in the summer and winter months, so dress in layers. And don't forget to bring a scarf for the strong air-conditioning if you are not a fan.
- Pick Irene ... :-) :-) ... jokes aside, if you have the opportunity to discover the city with a local guide, you will certainly have a more authentic approach to the city.

OUR FAVORITE WALKING TOURS
Downtown and Lower Manhattan Area
Some of the most
historic and important landmarks are located in this "part of town". It is also the area that in recent years has seen a rise in brand new shopping centers, malls, and
many new attractions.
Not to forget, this is also the area that was hit during the
September 11th terror attacks ... an area that was reborn thanks to the hard work and willpower that distinguishes all New Yorkers.
From the
historic Wall Street with the NY Stock Exchange to Bowling Green with the
Charging Bull, from New York Bay with the
Statue of Liberty to the World Trade Center with the ONE Tower. A visit to NYC without visiting these areas wouldn't be the same thing.
Midtown and Uptown Area
From the
natural beauty of Central Park with its romantic corners to the "concrete jungle" of
Midtown with the colorful
giant billboards of Times Square. From the historic
Harlem to the elegant
Fifth Avenue with its famous museums and shops ... so much to explore!
Tour outside Manhattan
Why stop in New York if you can hop on a
ferry to New Jersey or take the train to the
beautiful Hudson Valley or Coney Island or reach the famous
Hamptons beaches?
